Vice President of Commercial Development & Innovation- Entergy Corporation

Bill Abler is the Vice President of Commercial Development & Innovation for Entergy Corporation. In this role, he is responsible to support the Company’s utilities in the development and deployment of new products and services, including distributed energy resource solutions to meet evolving customer needs. In addition, his team is leading the execution of the Company’s grid modernization and transition to Advanced Metering Infrastructure. Prior to this position, he was the Vice President of Commercial Operations with Entergy Wholesale Commodities, the deregulated merchant energy side of the Company, until 2015. In that role, he was responsible for commodity risk management and commercial strategy. In a previous position in Entergy Corporation, Mr. Abler was the Director of Commercial Analytics, where he was over strategic planning.

Before coming to Entergy, Mr. Abler worked for Enron and UBS Warburg, where he served as Director of Origination. Mr. Abler has also held positions with Apache Corporation as Manager of Global Structuring, and with Exxon as a Market Planner.

Mr. Abler received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago in 1996, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1991.
