Dr. Ann Xu is the co-founder and CEO of ElectroTempo, Inc, a venture-backed software and data analytics company focused on EV charging demand forecast and infrastructure planning. ElectroTempo’s mission is to create the e-mobility ecosystem to accelerate EV deployment for a clean, just, and prosperous future. With technology that addresses the unique challenges of both light medium and heavy-duty vehicles, ElectroTempo has positioned itself as the leading planning and modeling tool to help utilities, commercial real estate site owners and commercial vehicle fleet owners electrify. Prior to founding ElectroTempo, Ann was a Research Scientist at Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI), where she pioneered algorithms for large-scale vehicle electrification. She also served as Senior Technical Advisor for Impact and Assessment at the U.S. Department of Energy’s ARPA-E, establishing the IMPACTS data science platform to optimize the agency’s portfolio management. Additionally, Ann directed the $15M TRANSNET program focused on transportation and energy efficiency. Ann has her PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology in Transportation Systems Engineering and is cited in many top publications focused on transportation electrification. When she’s not running her startup, Ann coaches her two girls’ softball teams, reads voraciously, takes dance lessons and roots for the Atlanta Braves.
