Ms. Claudia Cosoreanu

Grid Automation Chief Technology Officer and Protection, Automation, and Control Product Line Leader, General Electric

Claudia has 30 years of experience, primarily in the energy industry, with expertise in product management, product development, advanced technologies, strategy, and system thinking. Most recently Claudia led the Grid Automation Services & Advanced Automation Applications Product Line with the mission to partner with our customers to deliver differentiated solutions contributing to higher renewables penetration, reduced maintenance cost, and increased operations uptime.

Prior to this Claudia shaped and managed investment portfolios for GE Energy Connections and GE Oil & Gas to achieve product differentiation at GE Global Research Center as Business Program Manager, part of Product Management Excellence group. She partnered with product managers and engineering leaders to calculate value of product differentiation, build technology roadmaps, and conceptualize innovative business models. Additionally, Claudia spent 12 years in the Grid Automation business where she led multi-disciplinary teams to successful new product launches. Earlier in her career, she designed industrial control systems for Arcelor Mittal and control and automation systems for Atlantis XV tourist submarine.

Claudia holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Automation & Control and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing. She is the recipient of 2009 GE Women In Technology Award and 2015 GE Corporate Technology Staff Leadership Award. Claudia holds three patents with application in the energy industry. She believes strongly in collaborative, inclusive, and thought-provoking work environments as being the innovation engine for successful organizations.

Claudia enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and, when possible, long walks on the beach.
