Ahad Esmaeilian, a Ph.D. candidate, recently won the best poster presentation award at the PSERC Industry Advisory Board Meeting. Ahad’s project was titled “Life-Cycle Management of Mission-Critical Systems through Certification, Commissioning, In Service Maintenance, Remote Testing, and Risk Assessment.” The Power Systems Engineering Research Center (PSERC) is a collaboration between universities and industries that focuses on the electric power industry and the research and education that goes into it. Their core purpose is to empower minds to engineer the future electric energy system.
Esmaeilian’s supervising professor is Dr. Mladen Kezunovic, Eugene E. Webb Professor at ECE, Texas A&M, and Director, TEES Smart Grid Center.
