Early Career Industrial Engineering Award for Moreno-Centeno

MorenoDr. Erick Moreno-Centeno (Assistant Professor, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Texas A&M University), a Smart Grid Center collaborator, was selected to receive the Dr. Hamed E. Eldin Outstanding Early Career IE in Academia Award from the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering. The award was sponsored by Integrated Systems Technology. Moreno-Centeno received the award at the IISE Annual Conference and Expo in Anaheim, CA, in  May, 2016.

This award is given for recognizing significant contributions in research, design, application, or development of industrial engineering methods.

Moreno-Centeno’s research interests include design and analysis of optimization models and algorithms; computational optimization, combinatorial optimization, network flows, and integer programming; applications: energy (transmission switching), decision theory, vehicle routing, data mining.
