On May 26th, 2016, the IEEE Region 5 and IEEE-USA selected Ph.D. student Payman Dehghanian to attend the IEEE-USA Future Leader Forum 2016. His trip was also funded. Dehghanian is one of 250-300 student chosen nation-wide. He will be the Texas A&M University representative at this event. This forum will be from July 28th-30th this summer at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. This forum targets students in technology, business, management, engineering, and interdisciplinary fields. Notable speakers include Tracy Chou, the software Engineer of Pinterest; Chandrakant Patel, Chief Engineer of HP; Vint Cerf, VP and Chief Internet Evangelist of Google, and many more. The forum will cover career development, leadership, communications & professional skills, and innovation & humanitarian grand challenges.
Payman’s supervising professor is Dr. Mladen Kezunovic, Eugene E. Webb Professor at ECE, Texas A&M, and Director, TEES Smart Grid Center.
