Texas Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship – Dehghanian

Payman DehghanianPayman Dehghanian, a PhD student of Dr. Kezunovic, has been awarded the competitive 2016 Jimmy H. Smith, Ph.D., P.E. Graduate Scholarship, worth $2,000. Dehghanian was the only student nominated by the TAMU College of Engineering. Not only that, but the TEF Board of Trustees chose Dehghanian as the top graduate student among all engineering disciplines in Texas to receive this scholarship. This selection was based on his GRE scores, as well as his potential contribution to the engineering profession; a very rigorous, competitive selection.

Dehghanian has been invited to attend the TEF Board of Trustees meeting in Dallas on June 21st to meet the Board and to be recognized for his award.

Payman’s supervising professor is Dr. Mladen Kezunovic, Eugene E. Webb Professor at ECE, Texas A&M, and Director, TEES Smart Grid Center.
