Payman Dehghanian and Ahad Esmaeilian, both Ph.D candidates at ECE, have been granted by the American Public Power Association to receive student research grants to work on different project titles with Bryan Texas Utilities. Ahad will be working on the project titled, “Application of Intelligent Methods to Estimate Power Outages on Distribution Sys
tem”. Payman will be working on the project titled, “Flexible Implementation of Power System Topology Control in Face of Extreme Weather Conditions.” Both students are also eligible to travel and attend a conference related to each of their projects.
