Sigma Xi Travel Award

dehgPayma Dehghanian, Ph.D. candidate and Research Assistant at ECE, has received the Texas A&M Sigma Xi Travel grant for $500 in a campus-wide competition. This award will support him to travel to Dallas and attend the “2016 IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Conference and Exposition“. Payman is going to present a paper titled “Probabilistic Impact of Transmission Line Switching on Power System Operating States” that is accepted for publication. His Ph.D. supervisor is Dr. Mladen Kezunovic (Director, Smart Grid Center, and Eugene E. Webb Professor, ECE).
