IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu Outstanding Young Professional Award to Dehghanian

Payman DehghanianPayman Dehghanian, Ph.D. candidate (ECE TAMU), is the recipient of the 2015 IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu Outstanding Young Professional Award. This Award is presented to an individual selected in a nation-wide search to recognize an exceptional young engineering professional for meritorious service in the interests of humankind, as well as for outstanding professional achievement. This award, formerly called as the Outstanding Young Engineer Award, has been presented annually since 1936. Many recipients of this award have gone to make major contributions to the electrical and computer engineering fields in noteworthy positions in academia, industry, and government.   This Award will be presented to Payman at the 2015 Award Ceremony of the IEEE Educational Activities Board in New Brunswick, NJ, USA, on November 20th, 2015. His supervisor is Dr. Mladen Kezunovic, the Director of the Smart Grid Center, and Eugene E. Webb Professor.
