Book Published on Time-Synchronized Measurements in Transmission Networks

SynchrophasorBook_Kezunovic et al2014A book titled “Application of Time-Synchronized Measurements in Power System Transmission Networks” was published recently by Mladen Kezunovic, Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and his co-authors Sakis Meliopoulos, Vaithianathan Venkatasubramanian, and Vijay Vittal. The book was created through the “Future Grid Initiative” funded by the Department of Energy under a grant to the NSF Power Systems Engineering Research Center (PSERC). The focus of the book is an overview of the new synchronized measurements, particularly synchrophasors, in the most critical power system applications during disturbances: state estimation, voltage stability, oscillation monitoring, transient stability, and fault location. It was published by Springer in the Series of Power Electronics and Power Systems. ISBN 978-3-319-06218-1
