Biljana Matic-Cuka (ECE) Defended her Ph.D. Thesis Titled “Machine learning Approach to Islanding Detection for Inverter-Based Distributed Generation”

Biljana_1Dr. Matic-Cuka received her M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from University of Novi Sad, Serbia.  In the Ph.D. program at TAMU, her adviser was Dr. Mladen Kezunovic, Eugene E. Webb Professor at the EPPEI (ECE) and the Director of Smart Grid Center (TEES). Her most recent paper “Islanding Detection for Inverter-based Distribution Generation using Support Vector Machine Method” was accepted for publication in the IEEE Trans. Smart Grid, 5(5). 2014.
