TEES-TAMU Strategic Initiative Seed Grant was Awarded to SGC

A seed grant was awarded to the “Energy Cyberphysical Systems: Experimental Open Source Ecosystem (EXPOSE) for Synchrophasor Research” proposal by TAMU in partnership with TEES for 2 years. The initiative is lead by Dr. Mladen Kezunovic (ECE)  in collaboration with Drs. Chanan Singh (ECE), P.R. Kumar (ECE), Erick Moreno-Centeno (ISE), Radu Stoleru (CSE), Alex Sprintson (ECE), and Le Xie (ECE).

Industry experiences so far identified a need to have a robust deployment and use of synchrophasor applications in the future. It has been recognized by NSF in a recent Energy CPS Workshop (Chaired by M. Kezunovic) that it is absolutely necessary to create new research infrastructure for study of synchrophasor applications in future. This proposal is about enhancing TEES capabilities in the synchrophasor research by offering a realistic research infrastructure named the Experimental Open Source Ecosystem (EXPOSE) for Synchrophasor Research.
