Change in SGC Leadership

 

Dr. Mladen Kezunovic;          Dr. Thomas Overbye;          Dr. Miroslav Begovic

Dr. Mladen Kezunovic (Regents Professor, Eugene E. Webb Professor, Electrical & Computer Engineering, TAMU) has resigned from the director position of the TEES Smart Grid Center (SGC). Effective October 1, 2019, his successor is Dr. Thomas Overbye (TEES Eminent Professor, Electrical & Computer Engineering, TAMU; Member of National Academy of Engineering)  appointed by Dr. Katherine Banks (Director, Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, TEES; Dean, Texas A&M College of Engineering). The new SGC associate director is Dr. Miroslav Begovic (Department Head, Carolyne S. & Tonnie E. Lohman ’59 Professor, Electrical & Computer Engineering, TAMU).

Dr. Le Xie will coordinate the research projects funded by SGC Memberships. Dr. Katherine Davis will coordinate the SGC short courses.

The Smart Grid Center, a division of TEES, was established in August 2012 to expand smart grid-related research efforts in an area of intense national interest in ensuring the reliability, sustainability, and security of the electric energy supply.
