Recent Graduate Student Awards – Cheng (Peter) Qian

We are pleased to announce that Cheng (Peter) Qian received multiple awards this summer.

  • Demonstration of Energy&Efficiency Development (DEED) student research fellowship and travel grant by completion of a research project with Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU). This award is offered by the American Public Power Association (APPA).
  • Academic Excellence Award, Former Student Pooled Scholarship, offered by the Association of Former Student (AFS) of Texas A&M, which recognizes currently enrolled undergraduate, graduate and professional students who have excellent scholastic records, campus and community activities, leadership positions, and work experience.
  • Thomas W. Powell and Powell Industries Inc. Fellowship, offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M. This fellowship is the highest recognition that a full-time, currently enrolled student can receive in the Energy and Power group at Texas A&M Engineering.
